The internet has increase the consumers options, thus making every online business a competition. In order to grasp your client’s attention, there are a few basics you need to put in place to make sure your business maintains it’s professionalism.

First, every business needs a home: Instagram, TikTok, FaceBook etc and all of the other social media platforms does not belong to you. Therefore you need to have your own website. Those platforms can decide to close your account at any moment.

Bluehost is a hosting platforms that you sign up for that allows you to host your website and buy a domain. For example, this website that you are reading the blog from is hosted by Bluehost and designed on wordpress. My domain www.FinancialQuench.com cost $12.95 yearly so that’s under $2 a month to have a professional site for your business.

Second, you need a professional email. Using mycompany@gmail.com is not a professional email. If you sign up with BlueHost, you will have access to create professional emails such as Info@FinancialQuench.com, however, I recommend signing up for Google Workspace, it is $6 a month per user and integrates with your current Gmail account.

Third, Please sign up for a proper merchant account such as stripe, square, Paypal etc..

Accepting payments via CashApp and Zelle does not make the consumer feel safe during the transaction and you may potentially lose that customer. Yes merchants do have fees so include the fees in your pricing model or speak with your accountant on ways to receive some tax benefits.

Lastly, No more doing business via DM. If you have a website, a merchant and a proper payment gateway on your website, you are now removing yourself from being the middleman. You are giving customers a chance to shop with you at any time without requiring your presence.
